On the first day, the techniques and strategies for the distribution of cinematographic works will be discussed, with particular attention to short films.
Introduction and preparation for festivals ( A-list Festivals, Oscar-qualifying etc.): which rules to adopt for the registration, which is the basic material to present. Analysis of the possibilities and critical points of online festivals.
Focus on selling a short film, working with sales agents.
The communication of your film: from social strategies to the press agent.
Collective reading and discussion of the dossiers submitted by the course participants.
CASE STUDY: screening and analysis of two short films from the Lights On catalogue. Analysis of the respective dossiers and study of the distribution plans.
